Google has been inventing table for a little while now and so far, they have not failed to impress. Recently, Google came out with the 32GB 4G LTE Nexus 7. Claiming to be an upgraded version of the previous tablet generation, this tablet lives up to its claims. With optimal gaming performance, 32GB of space and many of unique features, this tablet will not disappoint even the pickiest of customers.
The Google Nexus 7 is known mainly for its size and weight. Being just .64 pound and 4.5 inches in height, the tablet is incredibly light and portable. Users can take this anywhere and hold it with one hand with absolutely no trouble. The tablet comes in a simple black design, which looks sleek. Unfortunately, the tablet’s material is very stiff and uninviting. There isn’t much of a comfort grip, which makes the tablet feel more like users are holding a plastic rectangle. The volume rocker, power button and sleep button are located on the right side of the tablet while the headphone jack is located on the top. The USB port is located on the bottom of the tablet, this is something we have seen before and it is very discouraging. Having the port here is distracting and uncomfortable if holding the device in landscape position. The back of the device features a camera, Micro-USB port and two sets of HQ speakers. For you, selfie-lovers, there is front facing camera located in the top right corner of the 4G LTE Nexus 7.
Google has also upgraded the software on the new 4G LTE Nexus 7 (32GB). Google has installed the most recent Android 4.3 software, BlueTooth Smart and OPENGL ES 3.0 support. The OPENGL ES 3.0 software drastically improved image quality on the new Nexus 7. Images are sharp and well saturated. Google has also installed software to allow Multi User Restricted Profiles, a feature that is showing up on many tablets today. This feature allows users to share their Nexus 7 with other people by creating multiple user profiles. The “Restricted” part of the software name refers to the ability to control what aps are allowed on someone else’s profile. For example, if a family wants to share one tablet and has young ones, parents can set up a profile for their kids and only allow certain apps to appear for the children to play with. Keeping the device child-friendly and allowing them to have their own little part of the tablet is a great way to keep the family happy.
There are several hardware features that have been updated as well. Google has added/upgraded 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro system with 2 GB of RAM. There is a 32GB space limit as well Wi-Fi, a GPS and BlueTooth Smart 4. With all these updates, performance levels are up to speed. Downlaods are quick, search engines run smoothly and text is crystal clear. The only downside is the image color during gaming or video-playing is not as saturated as we would have liked. Most will not notice this, though.
