BlackBerry Z10 Review
Blackberry is a 4G touch screen based smartphone developed by Blackberry. Its big touch screen as well as a proper and magnificent operating system is something to really look forward to. It uses the elegant Blackberry 10 mobile operating system.
Blackberry Z10 has a modern and unique operating system with a new gesture-based interface and also supports the powerful dual-core processors. The OS of Blackberry Z10 has also been optimized to run on just a few devices so that it can be extremely efficient. The device consists of a 4.2 inch WXGA (Widescreen Extended Graphics Array) screen which is slightly bigger than the iPhone 5's Retina display. It works on a 2GB RAM and a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait. It has extensive social networking connectivity, a very important requirement for this generation in particular. It also has the BBM (Blackberry Messenger) with video chat and screen sharing.
There are more interesting features to look at, such as its 8 megapixel AF (Auto Focus) camera, LED flash as well as a front facing camera. It has 16GB storage along with a Micro SD slot to allow for more space, should the user need it. It also counts with an advanced on-screen keyboard as well as an Office document editor. Along its sleek body there is a standard micro USB port, NFC, a 3.5mm audio jack as well as GPS receiver with A-GPS. It also has full HD (1080p) video recording at 30fps and 720p recording with its front facing camera. The phone also has a mobile hotspot functionality which supports up to 8 devices, sharing its internet connection.
Like all phones, the Z10 has both advantages and disadvantages. Firstly, it adds a dash of fun to Blackberry unlike ever before. The touch screen keyboard of Blackberry Z10 provides it consumers with an advanced typing experience. It also has voice control which permeates the user to operate the phone even through oral commands. It can be used to send messages, compose emails and search for apps; all the major smartphone functions are supported by it. Among the few drawbacks of this phone that the prospective customers would like to take note of: its new UI (User Interface) has a steep curve. Moreover, because Blackberry doesn’t count with a major apps market like the App Store or Google Play, it is missing key apps. The maps of Blackberry Z10 are way below average according to various statistical reviews.
The Blackberry Z10 comes with Blackberry Browser, Blackberry Hub, BBM, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Blackberry Connect for Dropbox, Smart tags, Adobe Reader, Docs to go, Blackberry Maps, Android Runtime, Foursquare, Active Frames, Compass, Blackberry Remember among various other features, in an attempt to make up for the deficient app universe. Therefore, it can well be considered that the Blackberry world has made its way ahead by launching this smart phone, and that may help the brand to win back its earlier position although competitions like Android and iOS still exist. However, it may be a good choice for people who wish to buy a Blackberry phone with additional fun features and apps.
