Features & Design: 4/5 ● Performance: 4/5 ● Value: 4/5 ● Sound Quality 4/5
The 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display is the most advanced screen produced by OnePlus.QHD+ resolution designed to display your content with dramatic clarity. Curved edge-to-edge design giving and immersive viewing experience. The in screen unlock future lets you unlock your device in 0.21 seconds. The main camera is 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 3x optical zoom. This in compilation with the smart scene recognition and nightscape technology allows for easy photo studio quality images and video. The phone has a built-in cooling system that allows you to charge faster and use labour intensive apps all the while keeping the heat isolated, leaving you with a fast and cool device. The 4000 mAh battery is huge and has Warp Charge which allows you to fully charge your device in 20 minutes, and due to the cooling system keeping things cool and steady you charge 34% faster than other devices on the market.
The pop-up camera has been a concern for some people as does not auto focus and the pop-up design is somewhat clumsy. The device doesn’t have a headphone jack and doesn’t come with wireless headphones. The option to expand your internal storage is not there so you will have to settle with what you get with the device.

What we like
This is a premium device with excellent performance characteristics. The pop-out camera is a unique feature and a very clever way of getting around the notch conundrum that many other manufacturers have had to contend with. It also does the basics very well, with great call quality, decent battery life and exceptional looks. This all comes together to give you a quality device that sits nicely in the top of the range league of smartphones that have been released in 2019.
What we don’t like
There is not a lot dislike about this phone as it delivers on multiple fronts. Some of the things that make this a great device for some also make it a little less desirable, with the pop-up camera being chief among those.
Should you buy it?
This is a high-end device with features that let you know that it is a flagship phone. Unique features, great cameras and decent battery life are all on offer here, making this a winner on multiple fronts. OnePlus as a brand has become really popular, and with phones like this on offer it is easy to see why.
