Samsung has finally announced the release of the very anticipated new S series. Expected to be released in March 2020, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is all you that expected.
The look and feel of this device is similar to the previous Galaxy S ranges. The body comprises of an Aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass 6 front and back with no curve and has an IP69 dust and water resistance rating. With three color options black, gray, and blue.
The display is an Infinity-O with a 6.7-inch dynamic 2X AMOLED screen and a 120Hz@FHD refresh rate. They have fitted it with an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint reader that is super-fast and snappy.
The S20+ has an Octa-core CPU, Exynos 990 chipset, 128GB memory with 8GB RAM, Android 10.0 and One UI 2 operating system, powered by a Li-Po 4500 mAh battery with 25W fast charge. Fitted with an AKG stereo loudspeaker, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB3.2 Type-C connector.
The main cameras are 12 MP wide, 64 MP telephoto, 12 MP ultrawide, 0.3 MP depth sensor with super steady video, LED flash, auto-HDR, and a dual 10MP wide front camera.
The Video quality is 4320p@24fps, 2160p@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, 720p@960fps, HDR10+, dual-video recording and stereo sound.

The Samsung Galaxy S 20+ is a notable upgrade to the S 10+, with the 5G connectivity option being a huge step up, giving lighting fast internet speeds.
The 64MP main camera has a 3x Hybrid Optic Zoom couple that, with Super Resolution Zoom enhanced by camera AI allows you to catch high-quality close-ups. The AI stabilized video and 8K video snap allows you to pull 33MP stills perfect for action shooting.
The Samsung Galaxy S 20+ design is basic as it looks like most of the previous S series, and the color options are limited to black, gray, and blue.
It lacks the higher chipset of the S20 Ultra and headphone jack as they are moving towards Bluetooth headphones.
Is it for you?
The Galaxy S20+ is a huge upgrade from the S10+ as it is more suited for gaming, video, and photography with a super sleek design. The quad rear and dual front cameras offer a large range and versatility of photography and videography.
What we like
The upgraded security system has a dedicated secure processor combined with the Knox platform that provides security on all levels from hardware to software, locking all your pins, passwords, and blockchain private key so it all your data stays private. With all the internals being protected, the IP 68 rating protects the rest from dust and water.
AKG teamed up with Samsung to give you excellent sound quality, so the sound on the stereo speakers is of high quality. The Screen is also something to note as it has a 120Hz refresh rate that leaves your screen scrolling seamless and smooth.
What we don’t like
The lack of a headphone jack limits you to use Bluetooth headphones instead of your standard set, which may leave you music-less when your Bluetooth headphones die.
The price of this device is something to take into consideration as its very high, but you are getting a high-quality Samsung.
Should you buy it?
The Samsung Galaxy S20+ is an excellent upgrade to the S10+, and it will not disappoint you with all the upgraded features.
