As we start a new school year it’s time to think about the school day lunches. Mine have all grown out of their lunch boxes and needed new ones. I have had people ask me what lunch box we bought this year. They are usually blown away when I tell them the price. So I decided to write a post about the best lunch boxes in New Zealand for school kids to make your back-to-school list easier.
The back-to-school period is always an exciting time in a kid’s life. If you’re reading this, you are probably also a parent. If you are a parent, we’re sure that you already know that going back to school means buying a lot of things: schoolbooks, uniforms, shoes… You name it. But getting everything your child needs isn’t free and choosing the best lunch boxes for kids can make things even more complicated.

Or, remove the sandwich tray and the compartment now easily fits pasta and salads. Its unique Flexi whole fruit holder lets you store a whole apple, as the stretchy seal bends around the shape of your fruit – no need to cut fruit into smaller sizes! Leak-proof silicone seals lets you store wet foods like watermelon and yogurts (no liquids). The custom divider slides across enabling parents to adjust the compartment size as they need, or remove it to fit a whole banana or wrap.

Wrap It Up
The more time kids spend at school, the more time they spend with their lunchbox. It is absolutely essential that when choosing a lunchbox, the child’s convenience and health be considered. Give it a good wash every night before putting it away so that there are no germs from yesterday’s lunch. If a top-notch quality lunch box is what you are searching for, this guide will help you find the ideal choice for your child or yourself.
While having a cute design is always a plus, it should not be the only thing you consider when buying a lunch box. Take into account the volume and types of foods your child likes to bring for lunch, as well as whether or not they eat hot food such as soups. Also, consider if they would like the contents of the lunch box to be visible (so you can see what’s inside or if it’s easy for them to reach in to get their food). When considering prices, bear in mind that higher-priced boxes are not necessarily better and will likely be used by your child for more than a year.
